basskat
What's the going rate for having crankbaits repainted? Nothing special just blue back chartreuse sides.
RiverSmallieGuy
Not sure if you want to paint your own baits, but a really good way to affordably paint baits is with rattle can spray paint. I love using rattle can, you can use stencils and such to create designs you want. Not saying this is what you asked, just a thought for what you may want to do if you want to paint them yourself affordably. Braden
basskat
Years ago I painted lots of baits. Really not what I enjoyed compared to making jigs and soft plastics. Guy is wanting me to paint a color I used to paint on 28 baits. Have no idea what to charge per bait since its been 10 years.
RiverSmallieGuy
That makes sense. I would just look at other people's lures and see what the average price is for a custom painted lure.
mark poulson
It depends on how much your time is worth to you. I would try and figure out how long it would take to prep, paint, clear coat, and do the cleanup for 28 lures, figure out how much an hour my time is worth to me, add 50% for profit, and quote him that price. I've found that doing anything for money, especially if you feel you're underpaid, takes the joy out of it, so I don't do it anymore.
