Jig Man
Have you ever tried to clean one? If so how did it go?
Fishermanbt
With the knife cold I give it a scrub with a Scotch Bright pad (pot scrubber) to remove dried on, crusty plastic. If that doesn’t cut through it try a copper pot scrubber. For stubborn baked on plastic heat the knife up on low, wear gloves and try the copper scrubber. Jig Man
Thanks. I’ve tried cleaning it cold. I’ll try it warm.
Anyfish
Why clean it? Does it cross contaminate colors? Not weld baits as well because of build up? I ask as I don't have a hot knife, but plan on getting one in very near future.

Jig Man
I tried the warm knife before cleaning is was better than when cold. It's clean enough that I can live with it. Thanks
Fishermanbt
That’s the spirit! I’ve also heated mine until it just started to smoke and scraped it with a razor blade or putty knife. Followed by a quick wipe down with a dry shop towel
