A newly discovered foam material for fly tying.....

Recommended Posts

While browsing in Hobby Lobby the other day I found a narrow rubber foam bead lacing I now use for lizard legs and tails when tying small jigs.

It is with a small hole down the center, but would function very well for floating ant bodies and the like. Comes in eight colors and commercially sells for $1.27 for fifteen feet. Made by Pepperell Braiding Company in Pepperell, MA 01463 Phone during normal business hours weekdays only...1-800-343-8114. The foam is called "Pony Bead Lacing"....the flourescent colors are brilliant and could be used on Chernobyl patterns as well as others. Could even be threaded directly on the hook, over the eye if desired....... Just thought you may like to look it over and come up with uses. Good fishing, Mac
