tunderwood01
I am looking to buy a wire bender and am not sure wich one to buy. I will mostly be making spinnerbaits but want the ability to produce other forms as well. I have been looking at the Boggs and the Hagens but I cannot decide. Can someone help sway my decision? Thanks in advance.
Party Crasher
I have them both and I now use a round nose pliers. Invest in a really nice round nose pliers!
tunderwood01
Either for sale?
PaBasser
I would purchase the lilttle blue bender. I have the Boggs, and Hagens benders also, but the little blue bender is what I use most of the time. Also it only cost around $24.00. tunderwood01
Will the Little Blue Bender bend eyes and loops?
PaBasser
It will bend eyes, loops.. not really. You could, you would have to position the wire a couple of times to do it. I use the Boggs or Hagens for that. But spinnerbaits, buzzbaits lil blue bender works great. PaBasser

topher
I have all of the wire formers that Hagen's makes, and they are all pretty good, and they are all pretty affordable for those who wholesale tackle out, or have a retail market, as it will pay for itself. But, if you are only making a few baits for yourself, I would go to Sears and get a pair of roundnose pliers. I have never tried the Bogg's bender, so don't know how well that one works... Good Luck! leafmatter
I use the worth tool, but micromark has a good range of benders. Here's a link to micromark, hope it helps http://www.ares-server.com/Ares/Ares.asp?MerchantID=RET01229&Action=Catalog&Type=Product&ID=60346
WidowMaker
I called Hagens and requested a copy of the instructions for their large wire bender.....i figure this should give me an idea just what it can and cannot do. What about the WORTH wire benders.....has anyone had any experience with them.
