nova
Just do a search for it. If it is still on the site you will get it.
finlander
Boy I have searched hi and lo and did not find it. Saw alot of other ideas though. Awhile back someone mentioned that dental goop they put in your mouth to get a mold for a crown. Has anyone persued that avenue??
nova
Why don't you make your mold out of resin? It works great and the definitions are much sharper. Also you don't have to seal it.
vishezfish
The dental stuff I think your talking about is called Alginate. I used it for making lifecasts of peoples faces so I could sculpt masks... This will dry up after a while, and it needs backing, depending on how much you use. I use to back it up with plaster bandages... Never tried it for plastic molds... I use plaster and Durhams putty... VF
woodsac
Check out this link. It's not from this site, but it covers all the basics you'll need to know for a 2 part mold. And it's got pictures http://www.opusframing.com/library/pdf/2part_mold.pdf

finlander
Thanks for those last two posts. They will show me the way, again. I did go to WallyWorld and looked at the Bondo in the auto section. I never have used it. How are the fumes when I use it indoors? Cold in Michigan now and I have two parrots which the fumes could be dangerous for. I have not set up an evac fan as of yet. Thanks.
woodsac
I can't speak for the putty type bodo. But DO NOT use fiberglass resin inside. It has very strong fumes and odors. It will make dizzy and possibly sick.
