Salty's
In search of the best clearcoat for saltwater lures....tried em all and never happy. Epoxies take too long to dry....messy.....Auto 2 part clearcoat doesn't hold up to bluefish....neither does Envirotex etc. Has anyone ever tried any of the newer aliphatic urethane paints? If so hows it work? They are advertised as being rock hard but soft enough to take a 4mm dent without cracking. I ordered some samples today to try but curious if anyone else has used them yet? Glaucus
I haven't tried 2 part urethane yet, but a local fiberglass/epoxy store is recommending www.endura.ca clear 100. They told me that it's much tougher than epoxy. It's a bit expensive, so I'll wait for your review before buying & trying it.
