VersatileFuturian
I make my own bladed jigs and I have yet to find a hook for them that I am happy with. I have used the Owner straight shank 5103 but I lost a lot of fish on it. My theory was the cutting point was cutting too big of a hole in their mouth. Switched to the Mustad 32608NP-BN and my hook to land ratio was much better but the hook points would roll alarmingly fast. Like after a fish or 2. Or after 1 snag. Some of the hooks were fine all day but then I would have some that would roll immediately. Any suggestions on a different hook?
basskat
https://barlowstackle.com/victory-41608-ni-spinner-bait-hooks-sizes-3-0-5-0/ Give these a try
cadman
Yes try the victory hooks. I tried a couple on a spinnerbait and I was happy with them. I don't throw them a lot, so maybe there will be some problems as time goes on. It's worth a shot.
mark poulson
I use the MUSTAD 32786 NP-BN JIG HOOK and the hook points don't roll, even when I snag a tulle.
smalljaw
I like the VMC 7250 black nickel spinnerbait hook. I had the same problem with the Gamakatsu 550, the cutting point was producing a larger hole in the mouth of the fish. This was causing me a lot of lost fish. The 7250 is a strong sharp hook that holds, they should fit the bill for you. https://barlowstackle.com/VMC-7250-BN-Spinner-Bait-Hooks-P3783/?afmc=ks
