opaleski
I have been using the microwave for years now, but, been thinking about going with a couple of Presto pot or the Mini-Shooting star. What is your opinion and brand that you would buy? It is just a hobby for me, and I do not intend to make a business out of it. I mostly shoot Laminate stick worms. Go55
If it's not large volume business, electric hotplate and small size metal pans are great. Variable temp control is must.

Painter1
If you want to blend “effects”, such as a color ribbon that is poured by hand into the opened mold before sealing it and injecting, having the Hotplate allows you to leave the mold on it so the “effects” blend in well.
