funny farm
This is a repaint job from one of my good customers that fishes ALOT . And yes she uses my big ol lures to fish with as well for musky and pike . Any way I was going to prep this guy for his paint job and looked at the lip . a few she sent to me have wear marks from where the connecting link has rubbed , well more than wear marks they are all groved , how much trolling does it take to do that ???? Just found it interesting and i wish i could fish that much
Skeeter
Must be one heck of a good lure to get that much use and wear. Skeeter
Richoc
Well we troll muskies at 5-7 mph. 8-12 hours a day.(some days) So ware and tare adds up quickly.
out2llunge
I ahd a lure I bought do that within 2 hours of hard trolling. The lip used one of those crimped clips and it bit into the lip causing similar wear and tear. I would recommend using an eye bolt instead. Lure--Prof
The metal lipped Bill Norman lure that is a popular muskie bait in these parts has always had that same problem. Diehard Bill Norman guys have been fixing and modifying them for years, usually getting rid of the crimped linked right off the bat. An eyebolt sounds like the perfect fix to me.
