LaPala
This is what I call my "Daddy of all Spinnerbait Arm"; arrogant ain't I . It's a rigid arm design with the weighting incoperated into the arm itself. Photo shows a prototype fitted with my floating shallow running lure. The combinations possible are endless actually; a few that I've tried: 1. small worm to replace blade with lure; 2. live rubber skirted hook (don't need a jig-head for this); 3. most SP attached to arm with/without blade. (been catching fish with it, now I'm sharing it with u guys.) Anyone seen this design b4? If it's new I'll be charging royalty for it's use Comments welcome, especially from our wire-bait experts here as I'm still green in doing this type of lures; hope to improve on this concept. Post your combinations if you're trying this.
Art Brush
lol dang LaPala ....cool concept. Is that arm made from a pair of sun glasses?
woodsac
Sorry LaPala, Hildebrandt beat you to it I think there's is using a glass arm though? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal- item.jhtml?id=0031101119821a&navAction=push&navCount =1&indexId=cat20307&podId=0031101&catalogCode=IF&parentId =cat20307&parentType=index&rid=&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen% 2Fcommon%2Fcatalog%2Fitem- link.jhtml.1_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166&hasJS=true Copy and paste entire link
LaPala
Dang :!: :!: :!: My claim to fame has been denied & I notice Hildebrandt did it in 2004 too. Well another time.
LaPala
Here's a composite photo of what I've done with it: the bottom left combo actually caught fish on the worm on the top arm as well. PS: worms are store bought, I haven't done any SPs yet Maybe coming soon

Markell
LaPala: This must be the bait your were talking about in the chat a few days ago. That is a neat concept with the crank bait. What does the arm do to the crank as far as action change? Any chance of knowing how you made the arm? Or where you are getting them? Thanks for posting. LaPala
You can do the buzzbait version Dwain. Mark: Those are fabricated from SS rods, available only thru LaPala or DIY. Lure action not really affected, just make a floater into a countdown with added "attraction" and it runs very upright
Nathan
Great Concept Lapala...You could really spin that off into all directions...The two grubs together looks interesting...looks like a small school of fish..Nathan

woodsac
Couple of things that could have happened here guys. 1. LaPala is hosting the picture somewhere other than TU. If that particular server is down, you will not be able to see the picture. 2. If he did upload the picture directly to TU, it's possible he has since removed it. Each user is only allowed a small amount of space to post pictures on the forums. Your capacity is unlimited in the photo gallery, which is why we try and encourage members to only post pictures that relate to help topics. Once a member reaches his/her limit for pictures in the forums, they are not able to post anymore pictures without first removing pictures they have already posted. I highly recommend that each member use the photo gallery to display new creations. Try and reserve the forum for pictures you may need to request help or to help others. Once you are logged in, click on your own username. When it brings up your profile, you should see a link "user attachment control panel". From there you can remove old pictures. LaPala
I'm hosting the pics in another site, www.pbase.com to be exact. It is currently down for server maintainance & upgrade. Once it's done then you should be able to see it again. One more thing is if you're using Mozilla Firefox browser or some popup blocking software, it could too block the pictures from being displayed as it's detected as an embeded off-site link, hence regarded as "alien" and blocked. Once you sort them by user you have to go through the pages, one by one. Very frustrating. Add to that you only can get the first and last 3 page up, then again, it's one page at a time. Am I missing something or is it a built in Glitch! BTW, I use photobucket.com as it allow me storage outside my system. That might come in handy as my main machine won't boot as of this am. Am I missing something or is it a built in Glitch! Obviously the 'search photos' leaves a lot to be desired Part of the problem is that a lot of the photos were transfered over from an old system. The new system didn't keep the information associated with the photos. I did clean up all the old dead links, but I can't reassign users to the already posted pics. Basically, for now your stuck sorting through them, until Jerry has the time to maybe code something to better sort them. One more thing. Hosting your pictures somewhere like photobucket is great. But the one thing we ask, is that you please keep the size limited. 640x480 is more than sufficient for viewing. This thread is a perfect example. Right now, my screen resolution is at 1024x768 and I still have to scroll way over to view the entire thread due to the oversized picture. That is frustrating for anyone! Especially those whose eye sight isn't as good as it used to be and has to use 800x600 It's listed in the rules and it's been discussed. In the future, any threads with oversized pictures will have the picture or the entire thread removed.

BTW, The software my Camera came with allows you to save your pics at a prescribed size when you download them. As I've had the Camera 2 yrs, I have to assume most of the newer ones come with this feature. It should be a snap for guys to set up their pics to be compatable with the 640 x 480. They just have to RTFM.

I've relink the pic to a smaller one. Edited Oops, I went back to page one & the scrolling problem is still there and I have 2048X1036 resolution (20" screen ) I think I found the problem too, it's the link you posted Woodsac, It's a continuous 299 characters long!!!! (got my MS Word to count it). FYI, the original I posted was 800X401 pixel I was assuming that size should fit most computers with 800X600 resolution. LaPala
Now the Cabela link is broken. I've found the makers though, I found it much earlier, when woodsac mentioned a similiar stuff from Hidebrandt, I just have to see who's done it before I did. Here's the link: http://www.hildebrandt.net/products/Glass-Master.php.
