vanillagorilla
thanks Nova :!: any advice on how much of each per 2 ounces plastic :
clemmy
never tried it, but if you look at the roboworm site, you can see a drop or two of purple to it...
alsworms
Morning Dawn has always been one of the most difficult colors to copy for me. I have found the closest match to be MF's fluorescent pink with a light electric blue vein. The hard part is the vein because it needs to be a thin, split layer with a very, very light electric blue shade. Chris
clemmy
well, perhaps the hint of purple results from Al's mixing the blue with the pink...
jigmeister
I haven't tried it yet but the word on the street has it the way to make morning dawn is........one drop of red per ounce of plastic and one drop of blue per ounce of plastic . Fill the bottom of the mold cavity with the lite blue plastic and then fill it the rest of the way with the lite red. Where the two colors blend will be kind of a lite purple . I guess you could tweak the ratio of red and blue plastic to get the desired effect?
BASS8BAITS
Is this the shade of morning dawn you guys are looking for?
vanillagorilla
shade is correct, but the Roboworm version is almost transparent that you can just make out the color. care to share your recipe :
BASS8BAITS
I got this color from Del. I used 12 drops to 1/3 cup plastic. I plan on using 6 drops next time to get a lighter color.
vanillagorilla
hey bass8, what color are you using?
Delw
Bass8 That looks pretty good. Its close but like you said less drops might work better to make it transparent. VG I been working on this color for a few months. I have it pretty close but no cigar yet. I thought I had it done but ran out of highlight so I am waiting on some more highlight to show up. Once I get it perfect I will post the ingrediants, its a very tricky color too make. I have 2 quarts(but ran out of highlight) of it and gave bass8 some to play with. Try placing a colored piece of felt or construction paper that contrasts with the bait over the top of it when scanning it reduces the glare and makes the bait stand out. Green black and maroon-red felt seem to work the best. Robert

chirmy
My best guess and it is not a secret anymore but here is what you should try and why. MF Earthworm I have been a fan of this color and some of you may remember me refer to my "girly color" worm as far back on tacklemaking.com. It is the morning dawn color, pink with a blue tint. Why does it work so well? here is your answer, Have you ever seen baby crawfish? When a crawfish lay's her eggs she holds them in her tail. when they hatch here is what a bass sees. The mother willl release the load when in danger and a pink ball of babies float araound to be eaten. I have more research on this than I care to mention lol but the picture tells all.
