texasbass1
Does anyone know where I could find hidden weight SB molds?
Mr B
Hey TXbass. I dont think a manufacturer makes one right now. I got tired of looking and made mine from Water putty. I used the unpainted "Hidden Weight " head from Stamina. they actually came out pretty nice. Plus I was able to upgrade to a 4/0 Owner hook. The Stamina heads came w/ a 3/0 mustad I think. The molds only pour about 30-40 baits before they start to flake apart so you'll have to make a couple. This is the process I used to make the mold. http://www.wmi.org/sql_messages_html/onfly_file/doc.asp?num=28316&ini=d:%5Casp_ini%5Cfishing_tactics_3way.ini&no_nav Hope this helps. dtrs5kprs
I just modified a Do-It SB mold for this last week. It is the model that features 2 bullet heads, and 2 "arrowheads". Believe it is older and out of production, but you can still find some on e-bay (where I found mine). I modified the 2 bullet cavities. They start out a little heavier (7/16 and 5/16 I believe) than most molds, so you can get away with less dremel work. Results are ok, have some powder painted and built. Plan on going back to "polish" some of the rougher spots in the added cavities.
