caliboy
Can someone tell me what type of jighead this is.... The brown looking thing is a plastic flap.
vanillagorilla
looks similar to the weedless plastic grubs, the flap would be bent back and skin hooked on the point of the hook for a weedless presentation. Never saw one made this way though, usuallythe flap is a part of the grub body not the jighead.
nova
Is the plastic soft or hard? How is it held on the jighead?
jigmeister
Looks to me to be a "Scrounger" jig head that was made around the late 70's -80's . The plastic hood thingy was actually like a lip to make the jig swim back and forth ........
nova
That's what I thought but I couldn't remember the name.

caliboy
So would it be hopeless to find one of this "Scrounger Jigs" I have caught many a Calico and Sand Bass here in California's Local waters with this Jig. Any tips on where I might find one of these.

KC Kevin
Hello New to the board. I was googling 'scrounger' and found this board. I know a source for these jig heads. Been looking for a couple years myself since I saw a buddy with one. He was slaying the Calicos with it. He used a Zoom Fluke with it. http://www.charkbait.com/specials.htm#SPECIAL%20#%207 Not cheap but fishing isn't cheap. Right?
