Skeeter
Can you spray lacquers over white latex paint as a base coat? I have used a white base coat that is recommended for lacquers. It works real well. However, it takes a fair amount of this base coat and it is kind of expensive. I would like to use the latex if I can. Lincoya
Skeeter, It's generally okay to spray any other paint over lacquer but NOT okay to spray lacquer over other paints. The lacquer will cause the other paint to lift. If in doubt, try it on a piece of scrap wood. Gene
Hughesy
Skeeter, You might be able to get away with it if you shoot a very dry shoot and don't let the lacquer get to wet if you know what I mean.
