Chris Catignani
I'm making a few spinner baits and was wondering about the spacing between the blades. Currently I'm using a bead, 2cm tube and another bead...and that seems to work pretty well. Just curious as to what others are doing and why. cadman
I use beads and tubes as well. If you keep the lower blade kind of in the middle of the wireform arm it works the best. You don't want it hitting the top blade and you don't want it to hit the body of the spinnerbait. What you have looks good. It will also depend on how big of blades you use top and bottom. I have attached some pics of some of the spinnerbaits I have made in the past.

Apdriver
Here’s what I do Chris. These spacers come in chrome, also. As a matter of fact, I think this one in photo is marketed as a crimp on sleeve.

21xdc
My experience has always been, When hanging wire down, Blades should not overlap. But I have only been making them for 40+ years. LOL.

Try bending the wire from the current 2-3 o'clock to about 1. Allen

This is how it lays in the mold...and have thought about modifying the mold. Is it common to bend those wires at the head?
21xdc
The more angle out of the head has more flex and less hook set delivery. Also promotes bending on fish catch's/boat flips. Weakening wire.
