staten island angler
When the tu members talk about dipping to make tubes what exactly is that and what do i have to get to make tubes beside getting del-mart mold which is alittle to much for my price range. They alway talk about dipping i metal pipe in hot plastic. Can anyone help me get started making tubes.

badfish03
From what I can gather in a nutshell: Its a simple but tedious process of dipping a rod of the appropriate diameter for the bait you want into hot plastic. You dip the rod in the plastic then let it hang and cool, when it is cool you dip it again let it cool. You then dip it several more times but not all the way to where you went the first two time to fill out the body. When completed you pop the plastic off of the rod and then cut the skirt bottom (the first two dips)
charkins
do a search on tubes there is a bunch of info on tubes. You don't have to have a mold. I dip bolts and the tubes come out fine. Cal
