N.K.
Hello All, New to the site. I’ve done a bit of research on painting lead inline spinner bodies and have had a tough time with the process. The two issues I’m having are; 1. The paint clumps up after heating the body and dipping it into the fluid bed. 2. After baking, the paint sticks to the wire I’m using to hold the lure body in place and I’m not able to get the lure body off of the wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. nk
TerryF2858
I bought some Teflon Coated wire off ebay, cut it in 2-3inch pieces, I paint them and bake them with the wire in. Then I can pull the wire out and reuse it for the next time. You just need to get some about the size you want the hole to be.
Jig Man
You may be getting them too hot before dipping. Try heating just enough to get a light dull coating. That should be thin and not run when baked.
N.K.
I’ll give both of those a try. Thanks for the info.
TerryF2858
Yes the thin dill coat works best. It smooths out on the final bake.
