alsworms
So I just had a texting conversation with an old buddy of mine and he said MF is out of their super soft formula, but they do have a 55-gallon drum of regular. Anyone know how much of the MF brand softener is needed to make it super soft. I used to have notes on this stuff, but that was years ago. I'm guessing a couple quarts, but I could be off. Any help is appreciated. Peace
Tiderunner
I doubt if this will help as I’m a small potatoes bait maker . But when I’m making baits that I want super so Senkos in particular, I use 1oz softener to approximately 6 oz of salted plastic. This makes the baits super floppy and super soft. And I preftmy stickbaits and wacky worms super soft. Again not much help, but maybe with a whole lot of math it’s a starting point.

Now I've gotta do my math and that's never a good thing.

Keep in mind that’s is what I use for heavily salted plastic

Tiderunner
Lure Parts Online is showing MF Supersoft. and Sinking Soft on their site. Their price is a bit more expensive than buying direct from MF.

Well that's the thing. He won't talk to Jeff. LOL. He said the last time he ordered a 10 gallon super soft, it took 3 months to arrive, and this is from Texas to Texas. He got no replies when asking about it. Without slamming MF and causing another outburst, I'll just leave it at that. PM me if you want to know your future with that company. It does, but I'm only mixing at most two cups of plastic, maybe four if I'm making laminates. I'm also using a lot of salt and glass beads. The stickbaits are nice and soft and wiggly and cast a mile. I make mine at around 12grams I fish a lot of deep water.

He doesn't use any salt in any of his baits, but I thought he'd be spending just as much (if not more) on softener. That's why he's decided to go the sample route.
