JackW
I am a keen fisherman living in Australia and am looking to start making my own softplastics. I have vistied a number of US web sites which sell the plastic to pour into molds. This would be too expensive to ship downunder and nobody down here make thier own plastics. Any idea of what the plastic or chemicals are so I can tr and buy them down here??
Senkosam
Do a google on platisol and you'll see manufactures that only deal in larger amounts. It would be cheaper for you to buy plastic baits on clearance (local or mail order), especially clear, get some dyes, hardener and softener, a few molds and pour your own. Just be very careful not to overheat. Walmart sells packs for a buck-a-bag of many major company baits.
martin godliman
It's also not possible to buy the stuff in England or anywhere in Europe that I've ever heard of Jack it seems only available in America that I've ever heard of, probably you could get it from China in industrial quantities if you could sort out ordering from the place, considering how many soft plastics are made there now. overkill
you might try looking up a Tackle Underground member called "The Hide" He is an Aussie and has posted about making soft plastics. Also I have heard Plastisol called "hot melt vinyl" maybe it is called something different in the land of Oz
