CHUCKV309
I am about to paint my first lures, and I was wondering what is the best direction to rotate lures while the clear coat is drying. I will be doing both plastic cranks and spinner baits. The clear coat is E-tex light. Is it better to have the baits rotate head over tail or back over belly? : I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. This site is great. I have learned so much before starting, that I think it will be easier to get good results from the beginning. Thanks for all of your help. Coley
I have done it both ways and can't tell any difference. More inportant is the dryer speed. 5-6 rpm seems like a good speed. Coley
Brug-Man
All I actually do is lock my baits on an exacto knife and hand rotate them for about 10-12 minutes then put the exacto handle into my vice and let it sit and my epoxy clear coats come out perfect everytime! Mylures
Hi there, I really don't think it matters head or tail end. I have done it both ways with wood and plastic lures with Evirotex Lite and have had good results. Good luck. Ken Schmitz
