bigbasser
Can some of you great pourers out there write up a little vein tutorial? As in what colors are good to use as veins, what colors they show up good on, how to pour them. I attempted to do some three pour slithers today(watermelon, ultra blue vein, brownish pumpkin) and I couldn't really see the vein. I also don't really know how they work. Is it a thin layer between another or just a line? Sorry to be long winded but I see all of Al's and Bass8's baits and can't help but admire the veins or pours in general. BASS8BAITS
Try adding very small amount of blue hilite powder to your blue vein. You can even use pearl powder for a little different affect. The first photo has a blue vein with pearl powder mixed in. The second photo has a blue vein with blue hilite power mixed in. bigbasser
Those are insane Bass8! Are those just a thin line or are you pouring a thin layer? Thanks.
BASS8BAITS
Thanks guys. These are veins poured over the top color. The top picture shows a vein that bleeds into the top color. The second picture shows one that does not.
dtrs5kprs
Hi-lite powder is definitely the key to cool vein colors. Try a green pumpkin first pour (back, top, whatever), followed by a vein of watermelon with gren hi-lite, then a final pour of green pupmkin, or an opaque brown (depending on what type of bait you are pouring). A good baby bass color uses medium smoke green flake back and tail/green hi-lite vein (in clear plastic) or belly.
