jgaylor820
Anyone know the best place and prices to buy bulk silicone skirts or skirting material. Right now I'm paying about .35 and up per skirt already made and about .26 per skirt if I make them myself.
Trigger Fishing
Where do you get the material to make a skirt for .26? I have been getting material from Stamina and Barlows. It is like $17-$18 dollars for 100 pads and it takes two pads to make an average skirt. That is like .17 a pad and .34 a skirt. It is only about .37 to buy a already assembled skirt from Barlows or Stamina. I am going to start buying pre assembled skirts considering the cost of pads. I really need to cut my skirt costs. jgaylor820
Yea that's my biggest expense too is the skirts and I've researched the world over to no avail to find a cheaper skirt. Sounds like my price may be as low as it's going to get. I get mine from Hagens, www.hagensfish.com Their basic skirt pads unless you get into the scale patterns, etc. are 6.65 per 50 with a minimum order of 50 which comes to .26 per skirt. Have them send you a catalog book, the one online is in pdf format and not set up very well. I've ordered a lot from Stamina as well and I'm thinking about just ordering pre-made skirts from them like you mentioned. They're a little more but the time to make them has to mean something. Also from Stamina if you make a $100 order or more you get free shipping. But the overall best prices I've found is at Hagens, check them out. Thanks for the reply. DW
You can get pre made silicone skirts for $22 per 100 {22 cents each} Or the tabs for $13.60 per 1/2 pound- is about {.09 cents each} at Hatfields Enterprises, 15627 24th ave, Marne Michigan 49435 -- 616-677-5215
dtrs5kprs
If you have a tax ID (possibly even without) you can order direct from Skirts Plus at http://www.skirtsplus.com/ That will be your absolute best price!!!!! Hatfield's makes a very nice layer for flip jigs..."heavier" grade or cut of silicone, similar to the original rattleback skirts (like early 90's). Skirts Plus will be the smae layer you are used to from Hagens, Barlows, Janns, etc. Skirts Plus website is not much, just call and ask for a catalog and prices. Celticav
I like livingrubber.com, hagen's, and hatfields. Getting my top three best selling colors in pre-made skirts by the hundred really works for me, the time saved totally offsets the cost difference.
