D.J.
Which thickness do you guys prefer. As of right now I'm using 2 mil bags, but they seem a little flimsy to me. Getting ready to make a large order, so I want to make sure and get the correct ones. Thanks.
Joe S.
I use the 3 mil. bags from lurecraft and they are very sturdy and keep the baits straight and from falling over.
woodsac
I won't use anything smaller than 3 mil. But I use 4 mil for almost everything. If you ever package up some baits and put a label on them with 2 mil bags, wait for a few months (like they might in the store) and the oil will start to seep through the bag
GB GONE
4 mil....I've tried 2, 3 and 4. 4 just holds the scent best and doesn't let your baits "dry out". I do use 2 mil to send out "free" samples though as I want the good bags for the paying customers !! Jim
alsworms
Another vote for 4 mil here. Bite the bullet and shell out the extra cash. It's more than worth it! Chris
BassnG3
I also vote for the 4mil bags alot more durable.. Scott
D.J.
Thanks guys. That's what I was thinking too. I just wanted some opinions on it before I order.
woodsac
Also, make sure they're good 4 mil bags I've gotten some pretty shi...(you know) bags in the past! Don't just go straight for the most inexpensive. You might end up regretting it. From past discussions, it seems most members use either veripack or royalbag. alsworms
Haven't got a bad Veripack bag yet, and the prices are very reasonable. www.veripack.com
earthworm77
4 mil for me as well!
dtrs5kprs
try Johnson Bag Company at: http://www.johnsonbag.com/worm_bags.htm Best bags I have found. Will save you a bunch of issues when your baits don't fall out or leak oil all over your display and labels. Even hold up pretty well to salt, which seems to cut bags. Shmang
This might be a silly question but what the heck. What is the difference between laminated and polypropylene bags? Is one style preferred or better? Cost seems to reflect that laminated bags are of a heavier guage or higher quality? Thanks for the help
dtrs5kprs
The bags I've been using from Johnson Bags are the laminated bags. Basically the same type of bag used by most of the "big" guys...zoom, etc. A little "harder" plastic, has a good positive seal, and has the "flat" edges. It seals in scent better, less leak thru of oil, better surface for a stick on label to adhere to. Hard to beat, even though the initial cost is hard to get over. Have used 2mil, 4mil with hang holes from various mfg (associated bag, etc) and these are the best I've found for the $$$. Not bulletproof but pretty darn good.
