JayC37jigs
Alright guys!!! I have a new project!! I am currently working on modifying one of my molds to make a large weedless Underspin jig. I successfully made ONE… however, I used a solid stainless type wire. Only after I perfectly got them to pour right. And painted a couple. Did I then think about the fact that the wire will not bend or move out of the way any when a fish slams into the full size jig Underspin. Which may cause hookup issues when using a weedguard on the hook side. So, to fix this I looked into a few things and seen that Titanium wire will not rust and can flex. I have used wire before on other things. However, I am curious if any of you have ever used titanium wire like this and what pound/size/or gauge would you recommend for a swivel and a #3 willow blade???? Stiff enough wire to stay away from the body but flexible enough to compress some. I really need some feedback on this and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge on this. If not, I just start randomly buying sizes to try and titanium wire is not cheap… LoL!!!
