DIY ZMan willowvibe

Looking for a mold that kinda mimics the zman willow vibe. Of course I’ll be using a different blade technique. Just wanted some thoughts from the smart guys. Roughly 1/4 ounce.

Thank you! That freestyle looks like the ticket! How would you modify it or could you possibly run a 3/0 spinner bait hook with wire form WEY375?

The first mold will take a heavier wire hook, But no eye ball sockets.

Second uses a smaller diameter hook and would need to be opened up some, Unless you like a light wire hook. I'm not a fan of light wire hooks on this type of technique.

Make sure you use a blade that does not interfere with the hook point as it lays down flat. It will interfere with your hook ups.  

I'm also not a fan of those inserts.

Thanks for the advice. I was looking at trying to use the same hook as some do with the poison tail jig mold but I don’t think that would be possible. I can still use mini blades though and keep the 90 degree hook

I prefer the Eagle Claw L3886BP and modify mold to accept this hook.

Oh that’s nice. A little RTV over the old hole and that’ll be perfect!

If you end up using the mold without eye sockets you can take them to a vice or hard piece of metal and tap the sides of the jig flat so you can glue your eyes on. I do this on some of my ball heads and it works well.
