Lannabulls
Hi,first of sorry about my question, I am a beginner. While clear coating with resin, I prefer to brush it than deep the full body, how do you protect the diving lip? Do you use painter tape? Once the resin coat is done, remove the tape, How do you clean the lip? In particular the lip part that is in proximity to the painted lure face? Thanks
azsouth
Painters tape is usually the go to and to clean the lip to bring it back to almost new ( if it's abs plastic ) heat the lip to hot to touch and dip it in acetone then wave back and forth to dry quickly. if it is not clear you did not heat it up enough or dry it fast enough. WARNING!! ACETONE melts plastic!! so if you're unsure test it on a lure that you are willing to destroy.
21xdc
Tape off lip for paint... Remove tape and clear bait and lip as one.
