bigbasser
I remember a couple guys saying they use laser thermometers. Where can I get one and approximately how much. Thanks
BigZ
Sears has them in the tool department, but they are about 50 bucks. I would look on eBay if you want a good price. They are called infrared thermometers and some have the nifty laser diode pointer built into them. Pretty cool toy. . .
Fish_N_Fool
I would stay away from the sears ones, a really good one will cost you about 150 bucks and up off Ebay, but you can get one that will work there for about $75 The ones made by either Raytek or a fluke are some of the better brands. badfish03
Grainger also carries these from about 75.00 up to 400-500 apiece. They also carry the probe type that are much cheaper. Robert I have two that I use to check asphalt temps when a contractor is laying mix. They are pretty handy.
BigZ
I run the raytek, I use it at work to check CPU temps on servers, I think it was 180 when I got it.
