What is you method on making homemade crankbaits?

For the folks that are veterans...

What are your steps

Once you have the pattern cut and sanded, do you seal your bait before you test and paint or do you add hardware and then test before sealing and painting.

Also do you paint and put your finished clear coat on before or after you add the lip

I dry fit everything first; lip, weight, screw eyes and hooks to make sure its balanced and sits right in the water. After that, I will seal the bait.
