overkill
When you guys make a polyester mold of a model coated in epoxy, do you use a mold release or not? I am making a huge swimbait. I made the model from sculpey and coated it in Etex.
jigmeister
polyester molds shrink slightly when setting up are very rigid once dry . If your original/model being copied is a hard material you will have a heck of a time prying it out of the cavity and will most likely destroy the master and or the new mold . 2 part Silicone molding material works well with hard material prototypes . dtrs5kprs
ditto...RTV would be the way to go for the original, then use resin to duplicate the mold.
