allstate48
I'm sorry people. I O U all an apology. I thought you were all nuts, making lures out of foam. Well, I saw some foam packing, and a topwater jumped out at me. Now I've got to ask some more questions. Will styrofoam work? Can you seal it? What about eye screws? Thanks! Muskie Bob
Doug, Styrofoam is not the answer. If you search the forums, you will see the foam for making plastic lures has to turn into a hard plastic. Perhaps the "skin" part is what gave you an idea about coating styrofoam. Well, if you coated the styrofoam, you probably wouldn't need the styrofoam. I know it would scare the....out of me to think a muskie hit a coated styrofoam lure. Let me know if you find out differently. Muskie Bob
allstate48
Well, that just proves, I'm not the sharpest tack in the box.I wondered the same thing about fish hitting this. But after seeing all the things you people design, and make, I thought anything is possible. This forum is full of Mc gyvers. Thanks for the reply Bob. Sure saved me a lot of headachs.
