gr8grnscutter Posted March 18, 2005 Report Share Posted March 18, 2005 Just started making and painting 2-piece plastics from luremaking.com last fall. Took out one of my cranks last weekend and on the second cast caught a bass a little under 6!!! I was excited as hell. Just fishing a strip pit in SE Kansas about 1/2 mile from my house. Oh, by the way, it was a little under 6 INCHES!! Never the less, it still was rewarding. Going to take some cranks and some of the jigs and spinner baits my neighbor has been making to Lake Fork next week and see what happens. BTW, great site, I've learned bunches from you pros. overkill Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 I went to some local community lakes (ponds) one day to test my cranks I just turned out. I caught several dinks and was getting ready to leave. I thought I would take one more cast off the damn and caught one just over 8lbs. There were lots of people fishing around there and I was pretty close to the group of old guys catfishing. No one could believe I caught it on a lure I just made.
