Plastic Bags..GTBag

Recommended Posts

Here ya go Chris. I was checking them out a little while ago. http://www.gtbag.com/

I still think veripack is a little cheaper, but like you said, no hang holes.

I've been looking into buying a poly bag sealer and veripack is at least $30 cheaper than the others. The sealers are great for custom bag sizes. You can buy real oddball sizes of bags for cheap and then just seal off the bag to the size you want.

I'm not the pro on bags, but I think it would greatly depend on whether or not you add oil to the bag or the bait itself. I add my scent directly to the plastic during the cooking stage and that's it.

I gave up on the "expensive" bags I bought from LC. Those things were hunks of junk :!: I've been using good 'ol ziplock bags. The kind with the sliding lock on top. Plenty thick enough and easy to open and close. I know they're not cost effective for the guys that sale but they're great for personal use.

Hey Red to my knowledge which isn't much lol the thickness of 4 mil and the poly is all you need for worm proof. All worm proof means is the bag won't loose scents that are applied to the worms, and the worms won't affect the plastic bags. Chris turned me to Veripack and I have done some buisness with them and I like the bags and the price. Oh yeah I got a quote on some preprinted bags from them and I just couldn't come off the cash for them... Think it came to 1300 or 1800 I don't remember how many bags but I had to purchase a minimum of I wanna say 20000.

Actually, you want the bag to be laminated with a vapor barrier, 4 mil is a little thick, we use 2.8 mil 7x4 laminated vapor barrier re-sealable with a hang hole, they run us about 80 bucks per thousand, we usually buy in quantities of 10,000, these are the same type bags that zoom uses, they are very professional and most of all "re-sealable (ziplok type) that way our logo does not get thrown away.

I have the labels printed on white vinyl for our TightLine series of worms and clear vinyl for our SRPLASTICS line of baits, with the vinyl labels the inks do not bleed or run if they get wet, the 4 color process ended up looking 100 times better than having logos printed right onto the bag, very sharp image no blurring, and actually cost less including the labor to apply them onto the bags.

From what I have heard about bags, polyethelene ?? will allow oxygen to permiate the contents, no matter the thickness. Thats why you need a vapour barrier made of a different plastic...which one...I cant remember. I think this vinyl label idea is great, thanks for sharing SR.
