overkill
Have any of you used cast iron to melt your plastic? I have some small pans from lurecraft, but they don't retain enough heat and don't heat very evenly. I thought the cast iron might do a better job but, I didn't know if there were any sid effects? james bradshaw
I havent used cast iron, but when i first started pouring, I tried stainless steel pots on an electric burner. I had more trouble with plastic burning in stainless steel pots than I did with aluminum pots. Maybe I was just turning the temp up too high, I might have to try them again!
