texasbass1
I have looked at the photos and read the posts. What color should oxblood be. I was thinking a med to dark red, but have seen in the posts that LC's is almost pumpkin. If that is the case does anyone have a recipe to make it? Your assistance is appreciated as always. woodsac
Oxblood is a preference color Depends on which one you started using and are comfortable with. Robo's is basically a cinammon or light brown. Their smaller worms have a very faint purple vein in them. I think the 7" straight tail is void of the vein. The Yamamoto is more of a reddish brown. Most oxblood colors have a little bit of small red flake added as well.
texasbass1
Thanks Woodsac, I haven't tried this color yet so I will experiment.
BigZ
I just got a bottle of LC Oxblood, it looks like...blood red. Poured a few, they came out looking like regular old oxblood.
charkins
I use LC Oxblood, but it's not quite what I wanted. I added a few things to the color. It is listed as Wild Boar's Blood in the Soft Plastic Cookbook. Cal
james bradshaw
Does anyone do any good using the lc ox blood? I tied it on a couple times and had little success! maybe i haven't used it enough?
alsworms
I don't like it at all. Looks too much like pumpkin/orange to me.
charkins
I have done well using it on flukes. Oxblood belly, Minnow silver body, and blue back. I have also caught some on my oxblood senko type baits. Cal
texasbass1
The LC I have came out a light orange. Not what I was expecting, but the baits look interesting. I'll give the wild boar recipe a try.
