Bass1cpr
I've been rigging the Sweet beavers on a 3/0 Mega Bite Ultra point hook with a 1/8 pegged Tungsten weight. I also rig it weightless on the same hook, I also rig it on an Mustad power lock hook 4/0 belly weighted. The Smallie Beavers I rig on a 3/0 Mustad Mega Lite hook 1/8 pegged tungsten weight. I also use the Mustad Finacky power lock hook 1/32 belly weighted size 2.

cheesehead
caught this nice 4.4 pounder with on a purple beaver texas rigged. From the dock. WE docked the boat and my wife looks out and says what kind of fish is that big thing. One cast and she hit instantly water was about 1 foot deep. http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=12/3482156169.jpg&s=x11
Terry Anderson
I like to rig them on a Mustad 91786 wide gap hook w/ hitchiker and skip them under boat docks. They also make darn good trailers.

Mac10
One modification is to add pieces of silicone skirt material about two to three inches in length. One fellow on another board adds one strand to the tip of each claw and one strand to the tip of each appendage (lobe type thing) hooked to the body as well. Having four strands trailing emulates the feelers and perhaps a couple of the legs of a craw.....he tries as best he can to match the color of the strands with that of the lure. Lately I've been tying rabbit hair jigs and have been adding the strands as well.....hoping to emulate crayfish also. I've not fished the beaver much myself, but did get one nice one working it s l o w l y and weightless across bottom. Will be trying them again come spring. Hope this helps, good fishing, Mac

lilcraw
I throw them on a 1/4 oz open jig head, love to skip docks with them also using a open hook jig head but drop down in weight to a 1/8 oz and use the smallie beaver skipping docks.... I use the Gregs Jig when fishing in cover the cone shape nose completes the front end of the beaver making a very nice looking bait and it comes thru just about any cover I have fished, the keeper Ted puts in that jig head is the best I have found for keeping the beaver in place without using glue it is a awesome set up......... here is the Gregs Jig head..... http://bitemejigs.com/_wsn/page3.html the Beaver has made me alot of money in tournaments, all in all it is the same as fishing a tube bait I think, but produces so much better here in the midwest.
