LJMLuke
Hey, I was wondering what I had to use for worm oil. What can I use to put in the bag to keep them in that "alive" state? Do I have to buy worm oil from LC or can I use something I can get at Wal-mart? I don't like the rolled in salt effect and I don't think they work any better. I am going to be putting salt in the worms anyway. thanks again, Luke
earthworm77
I would get worm oil from LC. A little goes a long way. You can't use mineral oil, it will draw the chemicals out of the plastic and make them hard.
woodsac
I also use LC worm oil, but I add it directly to the plastic before cooking it. I have never had a problem with the worms sticking to each other or drying out.
Senkosam
Get some Original Fish Formula (sportfish, craw or shad) oil. It works as well as any other and is especially good as a mold release agent. The price is the most economical you'll find of the oils and the anise (sportfish) smells good.
