D.J.
Does anyone else have a problem with the plastic gumming up and sticking to the inside of the production pots? I just switched to Calhoun's. I was using L.C. 536 and never had the problem. It takes about twenty minutes to clean the dang pots out now. I wonder if I didn't mix the plastic well enough when I transferred from the five gallon bucket to the individual gallon jugs. Any help would be appreciated. BassnG3
DJ sounds like you didn't mix it well enough. I had the same problem with a batch from a new 5 gallon container I just poured it back into bucket and mixed it for 10 minutes longer. Results were much better next time around. millsryno
I use Calhouns, too. It definately sounds as if you either did not mix it enough or added too much softner. I would highly recommend getting a paddle mixer drill bit and mix your plastic with it every time you get ready to use it. It will start to settle as soon as you stop mixing it ever so slowly. You might not be able to tell immediately with your eyes, but it is. It takes me just a minute of mixing with the drill and I guarantee you it is mixed better than you will ever get it mixing by hand.
