rrb32
Hey guys, I've poured some stiks so far and Im going to pour some different types of worms. Now with these worms such as a finesse worm, will I need to add softner to the Calhoun plastic or not? Thanks!
GB GONE
I would try some without and see what you think. I generally am not adding any more softener but it becomes more about what you like at that point. You can always add some softner to the hot plastic if you think the baits are not soft enough when you get them out of the mold. Jim
dvowell
I'm with GaBass...I only use softener when pouring stix. Calhoun's is very soft to begin with and, on some of my baits, I actually add a touch of hardener (this is primarily with brush hog type bait). -D
rrb32
alright, I'll go ahead without it and see how I like it. Thanks!
woodsac
I also pour a batch without adding softener. But that's just to figure out how much softener I am going to add. I have never had a batch that I haven't added softener to. I like my worms soft I generally add a couple cups of softener to each 5 gallon bucket. How much depends on how soft the plastic is to start
