RiverMan
I dip my baits in a product called polycrylic, let dry and then dip it in a primer/sealer paint. After that you can use an airbrush if you have one with createx paints or just buy a few rattle can colors at Wal-Mart and go to work. Go to the tutorial section to learn how to create scales on a bait. After that open up your latest issue of BASS or Cabelas, choose a simple pattern you like, and do your best to replicate it. Have fun. Jed

FishBooger
As a top coat for pike/muskie lures use multiple coats of 2 part epoxy like Envirotex Lite or Devcon (30 minute). I use E-tex - if both are available in your area, you ought to try both and find what work best for you.
