KandyBass
iwas curious what you use to get that flat finish look on your crankbaits. i have been using semi-gloss clear from spies-heckter. it works very good but it is not durable. when i put devcon on top of that it takes away from the flat finish i was wanting. also another question what is the best way to fade a finish on a crankbait. i have been leaving some in the sun but i heard a black light will do the trick better. thanks
cheesehead
It's my opinion that a flat finish isn't needed, once the bait is in the water the gloss of a finish changes. That being said if you want a flat finish with your epoxy just let it fully cure 5-7 days and wet sand your lure with 600 or 800 grit silicon carbide sandpaper.
