Pop
A few years ago I was going to spray paint my jigs but I never have, always been dipping and now trying powder paint. But I am still thinking about spray painting. I did originally purchase a compressor from Sears. The compressor is a Craftsman Industrial, 1.5 HP, 4.0 Gallon Tank, and Delivers 4.7 SCFM @ 40 PSI AND 3.3 SCFM @90 PSI. Since I will now be using this in my garage attached to my home and not the shop I don't have any longer, is there a compressor better suited for me. Something quieter and smaller but still would spray vinyl paint. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Pop
SeminoleFan
I would suggest that you go no lower than a 2 gal air tank. 4 gal should be fine. The smaller the tank the more the motor will kick on. As for quite and small try http://www.harborfreight.com they have a compressor for about 99.00 that is specifically designed for airbrushes. I believe that the larger tank is the way to go. due to the fact the no air pressure is lost to the brush. Hope this helps.
