northbassman
Has anyone used or tried the Beaver or the sweet beaver or whatever you guys call it molds from Lure craft. If so how is the quality of the bait. I want to order a couple but I don't want to spend the money on the aluminum ones right away. Any info?? millsryno
I have seen the finished product and if you are just using them for personal use, go for it. If you are looking to sell them, junk. Just my opinion...
texasbass1
I have 2 of the molds, the 4 and 5 inch models. The flappers are difficult to pour because the RTV isn't vented so on the smaller model you do trap air and don't get a full flap some of the time. But as millsryno says I wouldn't sell them, but the do catch fish deformed or not.
harley-cowboy
I have these listed on eBAY now. I used them once for a test and they are like brand new. Check them out at eBAY website. They poured good for me. I did have to pour directly into the flappers to get them to come out good, though. They worked just GREAT if you pour slow and have the right consistancy of the heated plastic. HAVE A GREAT DAY...Y'all
NJFishRGuy
I have all three sizes from Lure Craft and the concensus above is correct. They pour ok if you get the consistency right, but the most difficult thing is filling the flappers. But they catch fish regardless... I keep begging Del for the small size in aluminum but so far ... Pop
Hi Charlie, does Del make any size Beaver at all. I have emailed him a couple times asking, but no reply. Pop
