Haebar
What are your favorite highlite colors? What do you use them in combination with?
alsworms
I use them all, but I would say blue and green are tops on my list. You can get a really nice neon color by mixing blue, black, and blue hi-lite. Same thing goes for green. Violet is great mixed in purple and red color. Gold is sharp in black and watermelon. Orange is nice in amber brown (very good crawdad color). The list goes on and on and on Chris
kidlizard
Boy I love those highlight colors also!! So many possibilities!! One of the first experiments i did was add green highlight to motor oil.....You get a ghost green color is what I call it and its awesome......Another easy tip is to start with a smoke color and add a highlight, each one will give you an awesome smoke bait with reflective colors of the highlight.... Also you can start with the same color dye as you do highlight and get some good glowing effects.....I can go on & on, but that should gt your creative juices flowing........You will not regret the purchase. chirmy
Green in green pumpkin by far is the best. I have yet to master any others but the amber with orange souonds like a cool color. Did you know crawfish had blue claws this time of year?
LJMLuke
I was small mouth fishing here in maine and came across a crawfish a week or so ago. It did indeed have blue claws. I took not in my head for bait colors. I don't know what colors they are in other parts of the country at all times of the year but it sure gave me some ideas for maine! earthworm77
Green, blue and violet are my faves. I mix an awesome rainbow trout with the violet. I also like the gold.
Tubeman
I like to use blue hilite powder in strawberry red to get a tequila sunrise. It also works well with a small amount of amber or black.
earthworm77
Now that I have to try Tubeman! It sounds hot! I pour violet hi lite with either a smidge of watermelon or purple to get a fantastic rainbow trout. I also add either green or blue flake to it. Haebar
Thanks for all the great advice! You guys have told me things that would have taken years to discover on my own. I will start by buying some blue, green, purple and maybe a copper if they have one.
