Custom Jerk Bait Mold

Recommended Posts

He made another hybrid mold too. Both molds have milled air releases and the second is for a hybrid lure. My friend designed the lure to have a wire body laid inside the mold, then the plastic is injected. He is getting the process down and is having fun with it.

Here is a 9" Suspending lure I made to catch some Speckled Trout(Sea). This fish is 24" long. It was made from a Resin mold the night before fishing. I've caught some good redfish with this type of lure also. It has a wire body molded inside.

I'm hoping to get an aluminum mold of the simular 9" lure but 7" long. Looks like an injured Mullet or Ballyhoo.

Any more news on this and the process you mentioned? I've just moved to FL and also fish for Spec Trout.. I've had some pretty good success but not the size you have caught.. mostly high teens and a couple low 20's.

I'd be interested to hear any news.

Thanks,

Rick
