crowtoon
Do I need worm oil or can you use a substitute that is equally effective?
texasbass1
You can use Fish Formula or something like it. Some are using Kick n Bass, and Megastrike. Just don't use mineral oil, it will make you worms hard.
siebler_custom_baits
and dont use any scents that have water in them. Batemate live gamefish is great but its green so dont work in a lot of situations but when im pouring chart and limes im using that.
alsworms
I think I read somewhere on the site that someone is using Johnson's baby oil. I've been tempted to try that. Anyone else tried it??

crowtoon
Johnson's baby oil has mineral oil in it so I can't use that. I have not tried mixing scented oils in the heated plastic yet. Has anyone tried the vanilla worm oil from M-F?
alsworms
I've tried the vanilla scent. Don't really like the smell, but who knows........maybe the fish do! As for the baby oil, I was thinking of using it just for packaging plastics (namely swimbaits), but if the mineral oil causes bleeding, I guess that's out.
