jaime
Gary, I use it to seal all of my hard baits. It's a good product. the only problem i have with it is that when sprayed it comes out in heavy dose. i hold my lure at least 12" or more from the can so as not to get runs and such. also make sure you shake it well and do a test spray on newspaper. seems that the shellac will come out first before the primer. all in all it is a good primer and if left to cure for several days it will become more resistant to the elements. baitmaker2
YOu can wet sand the BIN's with 600 grit paper if you need to, but let it cure for a few days prior to sanding. This makes for a smooth surface to apply your paint, if you develop some small runs.............
scoop10
water base is better, but it's harder to find. The problem you will run into with the oil or shellac based primers is that they come out thick when it is cold. Then again, I work in an unheated work shed.
