saint308
I have tried every combination I can think of to get a June Bug like Zoom's. The colors I am using are Black Grape and Black. It seems I cannot create the purple color I am looking for. It always has more of blue tint than purple. Do I need some purple dye rather than Black Grape? If so, what brand do you recommend? All the colors I currently have are from Del. Thanks. Saint. P.S. I have tried the combinations found in the cookbook on this site. I still do not get the dark purple I am looking for. texasbass1
The formula I use for Junebug is: 4 oz plastic 20 drops grape 2 drops black Green flake to taste 10 drops of heat stabilizer I have found without the heat stabilizer they start out purple but then get a blue tint. The HS eliminates that problem. Also, don't heat it to hot that will cause it to fade as well
GB GONE
Here is a real close one to Zooms: 8oz plastic... 12 drops grape (M-F), 30 black/grape (LC), 5 black (LC) loads of medium green flake.....add some red for a great look Heat stabilizer will help with color deterioration from repeat heats...
