finlander
I have used Bucher and the triple Wolverines. But if my wire hangers from the belly are thicker than the wire on the split rings, the rings seem to weaken. Especially when I use them to attach the lure to the leader. I am to place an order soon with Stamina. What splir ring does every one use? These are for muskie baits. I make 12 and 14 inch trolling baits. Thus the thru wire is heavy... up to 1/8". Sometimes 3/32". Is there a brand out there than will snap back time and time again? Thanks, the Finn

baitmaker2
Barlows has a fine grade split ring in their catalog that works great on bass size cranks, I use the 2.5 size the majority of the time unless I am making a larger deep diver, they are easy to attach and don't seem to get bent our of shape like a lot of heavier rings, have taken bass up to 7 and 1/2 lbs. with these rings without any failure. Wish I could find a source for the copper rings that Rapala and some of the older manufactured baits used, those things are awesome and took repeated useage quite nicely
