baitmaker2
easiest way I have found to assure a perfect center line tie in your lips is to measure the width of your lip after you have shaped and sanded it to the correct size, divide your measurement in half and this should be the exact center of the lip, now put lip into bait as far in as it goes when glued and mark on the paper of the lexan the location where the lip leaves the body, then measure out onto the lip the desired distance you want your line tie, mark this spot and measure 1/8 inch farther out and make another mark, making sure these 2 marks are aligned onto the original lip width mark, drill 2 small holes that the wire tie will pass through and atach your wire line tie as you normally do. MAKE SURE THAT YOU LEAVE THE PAPER ON THE LEXAN UNTIL ALL YOUR MEASUREMENTS AND DRILLING IS COMPLETED.
