harley-cowboy
HEY, Y'all. Just wondered if anyone has tried the M-F plastics dye called "EARTHWORM"? How close is it to the "REAL DEAL"? I been trying to get a natural color night crawler and I come close but not what I really like. How do you like M-F plastics dyes compared to the "OTHER" mfgs? GB GONE
Tim: It is not close to a "real" earthworm at all. If you look back through the posts you will find this really is a color close to Morning Dawn. A pinkish, purpleish, blueish color. It is real hard to explain the color but it is an awesome color. Here is a link to close to what it looks like... http://www.tackleunderground.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=4555&highlight=morning+dawn The picture is down below. I have MANY M-F colors...For the most part, they are of very high quality...email me.... Jim
camrynekai
The best way to describe M-F's earthworm color....it looks like raw chicken with a touch of blue Hi-lite.
harley-cowboy
WELL, I will take your word for the raw chicken look. I sure ain't gonna PLUCK one of my Rhode Island Reds to find out HAHAHAAA... BESIDES, Their eggs are much more important than to find out the color of earthwrom. I'll wait till the dye gets here and see.

harley-cowboy
WELL, the real earthworm from NY gotta have some blue in him coz the winters up here get real cold. The only good thing about the winters up here in the NE is ya get to stock up on your baits cuz the lakes are all frozen over til mid April. STILL lookin and messin with a natural night crawler color. I just ordered 14 new dye colors from M-F and with a little experimenting. I might just come up with it.... GB GONE
Ummmm..Tim, the lakes being frozen is a bad thing!!!!! Can't wait to post up some nice big largemouth over the winter.....while I'm fishing in my shorts.....with no hat or gloves.....after putting on some sunscreen ...... I know...enough!!!!!! I'm gonna make somebody cry !!!! Jim
clemmy
Has anyone compared MF "earthworm" to Lurecraft's opaque "Natural Worm"?
camrynekai
M-f's is like raw chicken meat with a touch of blue Hi-lite and LC is a rusty looking color.
